The legal weight for an eighteen wheeler is 80,000 lbs. (40 tons or 36,287 kg) That is without any oversize or overweight permits. In comparison, the average automobile weighs over somewhere around 5,000 lbs.

MIssion Trip Updates Many of you continue to ask about the projects we are a part of in Ghana and India. Thank you for your interest and prayers as the work progresses. In September, 2008, our team was in Ghana. Part of the team worked with the local schooland hospital, while other team members were drilling wells. My work this time focused on “latrine-duty,” as we improved sanitation in the area. In 2009, we hope to install the first sewage treatment system in the town for the hospital at Appam. In January of 2009, our India team made its annual visit to Carmel School. What a joy to see how they are using the facilities we help to provide to educate and enrich the lives of children and families who may not have a good chance in life without our efforts in that part of the world. Everyone in our companies is involved in this work with us by your faithful work each day. Sponsorship of the children and these projects has been one of the most rewarding investments of my life.
