To All Our Driver Employees of S&H Express and Granite Transportation,

Next week has been designated nationally as "Truck Driver Appreciation Week." I'm sure that I will only see a limited number of you during this special week, but I wanted to be in touch with each of you to express my personal appreciation for all you do 52 weeks a year. Our drivers are known for their professionalism, courtesy to customers, and careful deliveries. A company owner could not ask for more. So I say, "Thank you" to each of you

As part of celebrating this well deserved week of honor and appreciation for drivers, a "kick-off"cookout will be held at the York terminal on August 18 ^th. Everett will have a cookout next week. Hopefully, we can route many of you to have "lunch on us."  I have also authorized $2,500 to be given in cash prizes of $50-$100 awarded throughout next week by drawing names from a hat containing the names of all drivers from our companies. Good luck to each of you in the drawings.

Beyond the official week of "Driver Appreciation," I hope that you are planning to be present for our family-company picnic at Wisehaven on September 16^th.  That is another event planned with appreciation for our employees.

Our companies are growing and solidly built. We have much to be proud of together. I am the first to recognize that without quality drivers we would not have the success we have known.  "Thanks Again" for the job you do. Please know that you are appreciated every week of the year, but especially enjoy YOUR week August 20-26, 2006.
