Chad R. Miller

Memorial Scholarship Fund

S&H Express, Granite Transportation, and S&H Transport are pleased to announce the establishment of the Chad R. Miller Memorial Scholarship Fund. Chad, grandson of our Executive Vice President, Rich Antrim, lost his life in a tragic car accident on July 10, 2007.

For many years our companies have had a scholarship fund from which scholarship grants have been awarded to students related to our employees. In loving memory of Chad, our company scholarship fund has been renamed the Chad R. Miller Memorial Scholarship Fund. In addition to helping students from the families of our companies, two graduating seniors from Chad’s high school will also be awarded scholarships from this fund each year.

By renaming the scholarship fund we want to remember and celebrate a very special young man who meant so much to so many. At the same time we are doing this to express a great truth about life. That truth is this: “If we are open to the possibility, we can see good things accomplished even out of life’s deepest tragedies.” Perhaps in future scholarship recipients, as they receive grants in Chad’s memory, and then grow in their education and life skills, we will see this wonderful fact of life come true again and again.

Congratulations and best wishes for

a great school year!
